Chronic Pain Study

Challenge:

Patient recruitment, patient retention, and study coordinator site support to:

  • Motivate 55+ seniors to actively participate in a clinical study with a significant study burden — 3 endoscopies and a 7-month time commitment.
  • Communicate key benefits of study participation.
  • Keep study top of mind with local site study staff.

Solution:

We leveraged patient focus group research, market-tested advertising, and input from study staff in the development of patient-directed recruitment and retention materials.

Result:

Subject recruitment was completed ahead of schedule. The staff attributed the success of the study to the effectiveness of the comprehensive materials in informing and motivating study subjects to study completion.
